GRP arrests 2 persons with 25 Kg Ganja

JAMMU: GRP Jammu on Friday arrested two persons and recovered 25 KG Cannabis (Ganja) from their possession.
“During routine checking at Railway Station Jammu, a police team from Police Post GRP East intercepted two persons and during physical checking five packets of Ganja weighing 5 Kg each were recovered from their possession”, informed SSP GRP Rajinder Kumar Gupta. He said that accused have been identified as Sahil Sharma alias Kaka, son of Late Kuldeep Sharma, resident of Gangyal (near Police Station) Jammu and Munish Kumar alias Mani Lal, son of Shakal Dev Rai Yadav, resident of Rampur at Patna in Bihar. The arrest and recovery was made by a team led by SHO Police Station GRP Jammu, Sub Inspector Surinder Pal Singh, Incharge Police Post GRP East under the overall supervision of SSP Railways Jammu.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 18/2016 under Sections 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and the investigation is going on. There is a likelihood of few more arrests to be made in this case.
