DODA: To listen to the problems of the people living in rural areas, Deputy Commissioner, Doda Bhupinder Kumar today convened a public grievance redressal Camp at Kastigargh.
A team of District and Sectoral Officers accompanied the DC to the far flung Kastigarh area , where at the locals putforth their demands.
The people demanded repair and renovation of of Doda- Kastigarh link road , upgradation of Schools, construction of link roads under PMGSY, Payment of wages of under MGNREGA, augmentation of existing Water Supply schemes, improvement of power supply including installation of transformers and electric poles and other allied equipments.
The people also sought effective implementation of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture and other development related schemes in the area on priority basis.
Other demands projected by the people included repair of irrigation channels (khuls), adequate teaching staff in the schools, ration sale depots, transport facility from Doda-Kastigarh, Sheep and Animal Husbandry Centres and vocational training centers . Appreciating the efforts of Principal GHSS Kashtigarh in improving the quality of education as reflected in result record of previous exams, the DC issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers to extend all possible help to the institution.
