JAMMU: Leadership is not a title, it’s a responsibility”. With this insightful statement Aarav Khajuria from Grade IX conducted the morning assembly alongwith his classmates on the topic Leadership at JK Public School Kunjwani.
“True Leadership is not about having power, position or a fancy title; it is about serving others, making wise decision and inspiring people to work together towards a goal. A real leader takes responsibility for their actions, and set an example through hard work and courage. Leadership is earned by trust and actions; not by words or status”, she added.
More substance was added to the transaction by Anoosh, “Real leaders are not always the one with loud voices or fancy roles. Sometimes, they are the quiet ones who help others without being asked, who choose what’s right even when it’s hard, and who rise not for applause, but to make a difference”.
“Let us remember; it’s not the crown that makes the king; it’s his courage, compassion and commitment to his people”. Kritika presented an impactful poem titled “The Essence of Leadership”:
It’s not command,
But a steady hand.
Not loud acclaim,
But a selfless aim.
It bears the weight,
Yet walks with grace.
It leads through trust-
And serves, as must.
Under the segment Quotations, Sachin Kumar quoted John C Maxwell “Leadership is not about titles, position or flow charts; it is about one life influencing another”. Sehajdeep Kour referred to Steve Jobs, “Leader is not the one who did great things, but one who empowered others to do great things”. Aarav Gupta quoted Siv Khera, “Leader is one, who knows the way, goes the way and shows the ways”.
Applauding the presenters for enlightening the audience on a crucial aspect of future life, Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore said, “Leadership is not a title, it’s a responsibility. True leadership is not about positions or privileges, but about purpose and service. It lies in the silent strength of owning one’s actions, in uplifting others, and in making choices that benefit the larger good.
“Each one of you, whether you wear a badge or not, has the potential to lead – with integrity, empathy, and accountability. Remember, the great leaders are those who inspire by example, listen with humility, and act with courage. Let’s strive to be such leaders-in our classrooms, at home, and in society. May we all carry this lesson in our hearts and become responsible torchbearers of positive change”, he concluded.
