Grand Beauty Contest Pooja Somria declared Miss KCS

JAMMU: KCS College of Education (Women) organised a Grand Beauty Contest for Miss KCS 2015 for the session 2014-15 on Saturday in the college premises in which 32 students participated.

There were five rounds such as Dress, Ramp Walk, Display your talent, Question-Answer and the Final Judgement.

In the third round, only 15 contestants were left and in the fourth round, 10 contestants remained on the dice and in the last round, only five contestants were in the fray.

Purnima Chaudhri, Rashmi Punjwani and Jeyoti Bhat acted a jury members.

The contest was so difficult that it was not possible for the judges to decide winners. However, the writing power of the contestants became the decisive factor and in which Pooja Somria, a B.Ed. student was the winner and declared as Miss KCS, Ayushi of Polytechnic remained as Runner’s up and Nousheen Akhter, a B.Ed. student remained on second Runner’s up position.

Earlier, Chairperson of the College, Purnima Chaudhri welcomed the Chief Guest, Rashmi Punjwani, a renowned social activist.

The contest was witnessed by Principal and HoD, M.Ed. Prof. Romesh Verma, the faculty members of B.Ed., M.Ed. and Polytechnic, the students of all the wings and the invitees were enthralled to witness the programme.

The event was organised by Divya Sharma Convener, Cultural Committee of the College, Sneh Khanna,            Rajan Suri and supported by Ruchika Chib.

The programme was compared by Priyanka Koul and Priyanka Jamwal, the students of the College.

The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. O. P. Sharma, HOD, B.Ed. Wing of the College.
