JAMMU: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Dhar on Saturday framed corruption charges against Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Dept, Jammu, Zahoor Hussain Zargar, AEE, Mechanical Engineering Dept, Jammu, Ranjan Kumar Langer and MD M/s CAS India Pvt Ltd Gurgaon Hanho Yoon alias Calvin Yoon of South Korea, DGM M/S CAS India Pvt Ltd Anil Dhar.
According to the Vigilance, Zahoor Ahmad Zargar, Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, Jammu had demanded large amount of money as bribe from Calvin Yoon, Managing Director M/s CAS India Pvt. Ltd., a South Korean national and Anil Dhar, Deputy General Manger M/s CAS India Pvt. Ltd., resident of Uttam Nagar, Delhi in lieu of extending undue favour to the firm namely, which they agreed to pay for purchase of weigh pads from the aforesaid firm, through manipulation of tender process.
State Vigilance Organization, Jammu and Kashmir registered a case FIR No. 08/2012 Under Section 5(2) J&K Prevention of Corruption Act read with 161, 165-A, 120-B RPC at Police Station State Vigilance Organization Jammu against the above mentioned four persons.
According to Vigilance, Zahoor Ahmad Zargar, Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, Jammu accepted Rs 1,80,000 as bribe, through Ranjan Kumar Langar, AEE, Technical Officer to Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, Jammu in their office premises. The bribe amount was also recovered and seized by the team of Vigilance Organization Jammu. JNF
