Govt should not grant any compensation to anti-national element: SSH

JAMMU: Opposing the Jammu and Kashmir Government decision of providing an ex-gratia relief of Rs. 4 lakh for the next kin of Khalid Muzafar Wani, the brother of slain Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani, Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH), Jammu and Kashmir said this move of government has brought down the morale of Indian Army personnel who sacrificed their lives for the sake of nation.
Talking to reporters, SSH State President Rajesh Kesari said Khalid Muzafar Wani was overground worker of Hizbul Mujahideen who was killed in an encounter in April 2015, when Burhan Wani was an active commander of Hizbul Mujahideen. He said on the one side Indian Army is fighting bravely with the militants to avoid loss of life and property in the Kashmir Valley and on the other Mehbooba Mufti is demanding compensation for Khalid Wani, brother of Burhan Wani. She is playing dual policy to play with the sentiments of the nationalist persons, he added. He warned Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti not to grant any kind of compensation for such anti national elements otherwise party will go to any extreme step or call for Jammu Bandh for which government would be responsible. Rajkumar Bassan, Vikrant Kapoor, Vishal and Sukhbir Singh Mankotia were also present in the press conference.
