Govt failed to provide ration, sugar: Congress

NOWSHERA: Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma lashed out at the State Govt. for its total failure to provide ration to the people and said that ration depots are empty especially APL quota of wheat, rice and sugar has not been provided, despite of hike in prices.
Sharma while on tour of Nowshera met the representatives of Panchayats and common people who alleged that delimitation was conducted by Rural Development Department at the behest of ruling party workers and took survey in arbitrary manner and the entire process has shaken the fairness of entire exercise of Panchayat Raj elections.
People complained about non-availability of ration and said that they are forced to come on roads to protest against the Govt. which failed to issue ration and ration cards to people. They also complained lack of Aadhaar cards and errors to the same.
Villagers also complained that they are being harassed on the behest of authorities regarding their occupation and cultivating process over EP and State land, while some influential people have not been touched.
Sharma gave patient hearing to them and slammed the authorities for pick and choose policy adopted by them. He also blamed the authorities for giving up developmental activities in the area. In the meeting it was disclosed that people will hold protest at Nowshera on 2nd March, 2017 against the Govt. in support of their demands .
On this occasion several prominent people joined the Congress Party and expressed their full faith over its secular policy. They were welcomed by Ravinder Sharma in the party fold.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included Som Nath, Harbans Lal Bakshi, Mukund Lal, S. Rajinder Singh, Ch. Darshan Lal, Capt. Ravinder Singh, Ram Ji Dass, Manjit Singh, Ch. Munir Hussain, Ch. Om Prakash, Youth Congress General Secretary Gourav Sharma(Adv.) Neeraj Sharma and Master Roop Singh.
