Govt failed to address people’s problems: Congress

STATE TIMES NEWS
SRINAGAR: Blaming State Government for its failure to address the issues of masses, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) expressed serious concern over the difficulties people are facing in the backdrop of snow fall in the Kashmir Valley.
JKPCC Spokesperson lashed out State Government for failing to ensure road clearance and availability of electricity in upper areas in south Kashmir and elsewhere. The party blamed the government for remaining confined to Civil Secretariat only.
JKPCC spokesperson said areas like upper Verinag, Matigawaran, Lissar, Chatpal, Noorabad, Kund and Qazigund are badly affected due to snowfall and disconnected with District Headquarters due to snowfall, but so far, administration has not reached to these area, as a result, people are the worst hit due to snowfall.
The spokesperson said mere tall claims with regard to electricity, snow clearance, road connectivity etc being made by the government from time to time, will not serve any purpose, government should remain visible on the ground and itself ensure every facility to people in these days of harsh winter.
The spokesperson added there were other areas in north and central Kashmir also, which are also affected due snowfall in the Valley, despite being aware about the conditions of the people in these areas, government seems to be careless, which is not only unfortunate, but highly condemnable.
