Govt employees to observe two-day Kaam Chhoro Hartal from Jan 3

JAMMU: J and K Government Employees, Casual Labours, Workers and Pensioners United Platform (JKGECWPUP) decided to observe two day Kaam Chhoro Hartal from 3rd January.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Mohammad Gafoor Dar, State Convener of the JKGECWPUP, said that two days Kaam Chhoro Hartal will be observed on 3rd and 4th January 2017 throughout J and K State for settlement of the employees’ demands.
On 3rd January, he said, protest rallies will be held at all district head quarters and memorandum will be submitted to the District Development Commissioner.
On 4th January 2017 after observing strike the employees, workers, casual labourers and pensioners will hold massive rallies at Srinagar and Jammu, he added.
In Jammu city the rally will be held outside the Office of Divisional Commissioner at Panama Chowk on 3rd January 2017 and at Press Club Jammu on 4th January, he informed.
He appealed to the State Government employees, workers of all departments and public sector to observe Kaam Chhoro Hartal for two days and participate in the rally to press for immediate settlement of their demands.
He also highlighted the demands of the JKGECWPUP, which include regularisation policy for Need Based Casual Labours, implementation of Seventh Pay Commission, enhancement of honorarium of Anganwadi workers and helpers.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Kulwant Singh, AbduI Ahad Bandroo, Akhil Sharma, Tanveer Hussain, Puneet Sharma, Rajan Sharma, Sanjeev, Syed Ghulam Rasool Gilani, Pardeep Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Vikramjeet Singh, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Deepak Gupta and Mustaq Ahmed were also present.
