JAMMU: The government on Wednesday constituted Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the ‘Project Proposal for Vehicle Location Tracking and Emergency Alert System’.
“In terms of S.O 227 dated July 9, 2021 of the Finance Department, sanction is accorded to the constitution of Technical Appraisal Committee for the “Project Proposal for Vehicle Location Tracking and Emergency Alert System”, reads an order issued by Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department.
As per order, the committee will be headed by Mohammad Saleem, State Informatics Officer, NIC, J&K as its Chairman while Shameem Khan, Director Incharge, NIELIT or his representative to be nominated by him and Representative of IIT Jammu to be nominated by Director, IIT Jammu will be its Members and Puneet Kanth, Senior Consultant, State e-Mission Team (SeMT) will be its Member Secretary.
“The Member-Secretary shall coordinate with all members of the Committee for timely convening of meeting and to ensure timely appraisal/vetting of document,” it stated. “The Committee shall provide technical vetting of the DPR and give recommendations regarding the provisions proposed in DPR and it shall also give its recommendation/suggestions on the viability of the proposed solutions in the DPR,” the order stated and added, “The Committee shall ensure strict compliance to all rules, procedures/guidelines issued by Government from time to time while vetting the DPR.”
