SRINAGAR: Governor, N.N. Vohra on Friday expressed concern and sympathy over the loss of precious human lives and the economic losses caused by the incessant rains and consequential floods in the State. The Governor has also conveyed his condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the next of kin of the innocent persons who were killed in the Nowshera road mishap, where a bus carrying a marriage party was washed away in a flash flood.
The Governor appreciated the relief work being carried out by the State Administration and urged all possible steps being taken to mitigate the sufferings of people caused by the continuing rains and floods. The Governor appreciated the promptitude with which the Security Forces, particularly the Army, had come to the rescue of the affected people at different places in the State.
