JAMMU: A meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu was held under the Chairmanship of MLA Jammu East Constituency Sh. Rajesh Gupta, in the Office Chamber of Medical Superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu, Indira Chowk, Jammu on Tuesday. Besides Chairma representatives from different areas of the Jammu and the members attended the meeting.
All the members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti apprised about the activities and Medical Aid camps being organized in the various areas of Jammu by the staff of the Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu as the outreach programme of hospital by the Medical superintendent. GAH organized many seminars to upgrade the knowledge of staff working in hospital and the interns. It was also informed that during the period of April 2015 to December 2016 more than twenty thousand patients has been examined and treated with free medicines provided by the Provincial Medical Store ISM Jammu under the guidance of Ch. Lal Singh ji, under the leadership of Rajesh Gupta MLA and Chairman RKS and visionary instructions of Director General Indian Systems of Medicine J&K Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar. The RKS appreciated this effort of the hospital administration & thanked Dr Abdul Kabir Dar DG ISM J&K for taking lead in providing the help to the ailing humanity in need.
Speaking on the occasion Rajesh Gupta MLA and Chairman Rogi Kalyan Samiti Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu said that Ayurvedic Systems of medicine is serving the people in Indian Sub continent successfully since last 5000 years. Now it needs to be strengthened. He said that Ayurveda is the part of our culture. Therefore to protect our culture we need to promote Ayurvedic system of medicine.
