Silver also dropped to touch two weeks low following heavy speculative unwinding amid reduced industrial demand.
Standard gold (99.5 purity) fell by Rs 95 to end at Rs 26,850 per 10 gm from Wednesday’s closing level of Rs 26,945.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) also went down by a similar margin to finish at Rs 27,000 per 10 gm from Rs 27,095.
Silver (.999 fineness) shed Rs 255 to conclude at Rs 38,595 per kg as against Rs 38,850 earlier.
On the global front, Gold was little changed at late morning trade as the impact of a steadier dollar was counteracted by lower European equities alongside fading optimism over a potential deal between Greece and its creditors.
Spot gold was flat at USD 1,187.46 an ounce in late morning trade and silver was down at USD 16.60 an ounce.
