JAMMU: The IX Gold Cup Jammu Roller Skating Championship got underway at recently revived Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peer Kho, here under the aegis of Roller Skating Association of J and K.
The first day of the meet witnessed competition in speed and hockey in lower age groups of sub-junior and juniors.
At the end of the day, those winners of different events presented with medals by the Chief Guest, Sanjeev Gupta (Bobby). Raj Kumar was Guest of Honour.
Results: BOYS: 300 and 500 mts race: Below six-year: Praful, Ist; Samvedya, 2nd and Atharv, 3rd. Below eight-year: Tanish, Ist and Shivam, 2nd. Below 10-year: Daksh, Ist and Soham, 2nd. Above 16-year: Satyam Raina, Ist. QUADS: 300 mts race: Below six-year: Shivam, ist; Advay, 2nd and Arav, 3rd. 500 mts race: Shivam, Ist; Advay, 2nd and Antriksh and Krishna, joint 3rd.
GIRLS: 300 and 500 mts race: Below six-year: Rushi, Ist and Tania, 2nd. Below eight-year: Shifit, Ist; Sharanya, 2nd and Divyanka, 3rd. Below 10-year: Sanchita, Ist. QUADS: 300 mts race: Below six-year: Sumukhi, Ist; Kashvi, 2nd and ishani, 3rd. 500 mts race: Seerat, Ist; Sumukhi, 2nd and Kashvi, 3rd.
