Demonetisation was aimed at not only draining out black money, but also encourage ‘Digital India’. It caused a lot of hardships, but as time passed, people have begun to appreciate the move and prefer going cashless. The government has paved the way for making ‘plastic’ payment. This will result in greater efficiency as money goes directly into the recipient’s account and the entire process becomes transparent. Transactions can be easily traced and corruption will automatically be checked.
