GLTF urges Naeem, Priya to restart progressive measures

 STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Welcoming Naeem Akhtar and Priya Sethi on their reassuming the charge of Education Department, General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) wanted the duo to come back and to restart the various progressive measures initiated in their earlier brief stint.
Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, State President GLTF, Neeraj Sharma said that forum always subscribes and supports all the ways and measures being adopted to improve schools in the State.
Neeraj, while highlighting the demands of the forum, said that the government should revoke the uncalled and unjustified Order No. 469 of 2014 dated 25th June, 2014 which provides for inclusion of five years of temporary service of ReTs for seniority.
Demanding to return back ReTs and RReTs to their original place of engagement, Neeraj said that transfer of ReTs is completely illegal and contrary to the SSA norms.
The other major demands of the forum include cancellation of promotions (Master, Lecturer, Head Master) on the basis of fake degrees, disengagement of ReTs whose school have been clubbed or closed, screening test of ReTs by an independent agency like SSB, detachment of all the deployed and Court stayed teachers/masters/lecturers from various offices and particular schools at the earliest, adjustment of teachers promoted to the master in February 2014 and regularisation of incharge incumbency in School Education Department by obeying set norms through PSC but not through routine cabinet decision by ignoring fake degrees acquired by such incharges.
The forum also appealed to the Chief Minister to roll back the new recruitment policy for 10+2 lecturers which deter the serving teachers from applying as the policy envisages lower and fixed grade for the lecturer posts.
Others present in the press conference included Sonu Sharma Provisional General Secretary, Kulbushan Singh Secretary, Dalip Kumar Digra, Dr. Sudesh Sharma, Dig Vijay Singh District President Jammu, Amit Dabgotra, Naresh Manhas and Tejinder Singh.
