Girls Volleyball Club formed at Uchhad

POONCH: In an effort to take the game to the far off and lesser known places in district Poonch, an exclusive girls volleyball club has been established at Government High School Uchhad in Tehsil Mendar, here.
In fact, it was Mohd Tariq, chairman Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club Poonch found young girls playing the game at the school ground, who during interactions with these volleyball enthusiasts he decided to set up a club for them.
“The girls were so enthusiastic that they were joyful on being promised to set up a club so as to provide them a platform to play and perform in an organised manner,” said Mohd Tariq.
During interactions with the girls, Headmaster of the school, Ramesh Chander Bali was present along with Madan Lal, Qamar Din (Master), Javid Iqbal and Mohd Safeel.
Further, Mohd Tariq, who is join secretary of the Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) has proposed a tournament at Uchhad next month, exclusively for the girls of the area under the banner of the Association.
