JAMMU: Semifinal position in girls section cleared in the five-day long National Tenni-Koit Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Tenni-Koit Association under the aegis of Tenni-Koit Federation of India and in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar here on second day on Tuesday. Around 500 players representing 21 states and Union Territories from all over the country are taking part in the 36th Sub-Junior (Boys and Girls) National Tenni-Koit Championship.
Islam Khan, Assistant Commissioner KVS Regional Office Jammu was the Chief Guest and Mohd Hanief, Chief Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council was the Guest of Honour on second day.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest lauded the efforts of organizers for conducting the championship in Jammu which will be act as cultural exchange and players from other States of the country will get an opportunity to know about our culture. Rajiv Sharma, President Tennikoit Federation of India, remained present and tried to extend all necessary facilities to the participating teams and their coaches.

Day 2: Tamil Nadu Beat Delhi (3-0), Odisha beat Punjab (3-0), West Bengal beat Madhya Pradesh (3-0), Pondicherry beat Chhattisgarh (3-1), Odisha beat Haryana (3-0), Karnataka beat Uttar Pradesh (3-1), Puducherry beat Delhi (3-0). Quarter Final: Maharashtra beat Telangana (3-0).
GIRLS Quarter Finals: Karnataka beat Kerala (3-0), Pondichery beat Odisha (3-0), Tamil Nadu beat West Bengal (3-0) and Andhra Pradesh beat Maharashtra (3-2).
