KATHUA: Hiranagar Zone bagged the under-19 girls’ kho-kho title beating Billawar Zone by a margin of ten points in the final of the inter-zonal district level competitions of Kathua, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Sports Stadium, here on Monday. Earlier Hiranagar Zone trounced Kathua Zone by seven points.
The tournament is being organised under the directions of Joint Director YSS Madan Lal and supervision of DYSSO Kathua Sunil Kumar.
In Kabaddi, Bani Zone won the final by defeating Kathua by 16 points. Earlier, Zone Kathua trounced Zone Billawar by ten points.

Meanwhile, at Sports Stadium Kathua, Zone Hiranagar trounced Zone Bani by 64 runs and Billawar beat Bahsoli by four wickets in under-19 cricket tournament of boys.
Batting first, Hiranagar set the target of 76 runs to Bani in 10 overs. Divyam Sharma of Hiranagar made 18 runs in 14 balls with three boundaries. Bani could not chase the target and declined at just 13 runs. Anil and Ashwani of Hiranagar clinched three and two wickets respectively.
Earlier in first match, Bahsoli made 53 runs in ten overs which in reply Billawar achieved the target in 6th over and won the match.
In Tennis ball cricket, the boys of Hiranagar Zone defeated Bahsoli Zone by eight wickets.
Today’s matches were officiated by Pardeep Singh, Dharminder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Suresh Kumari, Punjab Singh, Omkar Singh, Ashok Mangotra and Nand Kishore. Assistant Organising Secretary Joginder Kumar Khajuria, Shobha Rani, Raghbir Puri, Mohan Lal Dub and Sanjeev Sunny were also present.
