GHS Swankha emerges winner in volleyball tournament

VIJAYPUR: Government High School (GHS) Swankha emerged winner in the volleyball tournament organised by IRP 17th Batallian Samba under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Gho Brahamna, here on Monday. In the final played today, GHS Swankha outplayed Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Gho Brahamna. The tournament was held under the command of Roop Raj, Commandant IRP 17th Batallian. In the tournament, teams from GHSS Gho Brahamna, GHSS Anandpur, GHSS Samba and GHS Swankha participated.
Trophy and volleyball kit were provided to winner team while volleyball kit said runner up trophy was provided to runner up team.
Two volleyballs and one net each was provided to other teams while consolation prize of Rs. 1,500 was given to the team of GHSS Anandpur.
Vishal Khajuria of GHS Swankha was adjudged as best player of the event and was given a trophy for his outstanding performance.
Prominent citizens of the area, students, local inhabitants and principals namely Harbans Lal of Ajanta Higher Secondary School Gho Brahamna, Raj Kumar of Shiv Shiksha Kendra Gho Brahamna and Zahara Singh of GHSS Gho Brahamna were present during the event.
