JAMMU: A function was organised at Government Girls High School Birpur to observe the World AIDS Day by Namdhari Sangat J and K in collaboration with Health Education Bureau and Government Ayurvedic Dispensary Birpur.
A symposium was organised on the occasion in which 21 girls from different classes and age groups participated.
Pallavi was adjudged first, whereas Shivani and Sweety were adjudged second and third in the symposium. A skit was also presented by the children and also presented beautifully drawn slogans. The winners were presented with prizes and certificate was granted to all the participants.
Chief Guest of the function Goutam Singh Jamwal , Sarpanch of Birpur Panchayat said that the children are the best message carrier and they can easily convince elders.
The special invitee Dr. O.P Sharma Vidiarthi IFS Chief Conservator of Forests also interacted with students.
Dr. Taran Singh, Nidhi Gandotra AVO Health Department Jammu, Davinder Bakshi Secretary YHAI also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier Avtar Singh Secretary Namdhari Sangat J and K welcomed the Chief Guest and other participants.
The Headmaster of Government Girls High School Anita Sharma appreciated the efforts of Health Education Bureau and Namdhari Sangat for organising such informative function in her school.
Neeraj Kumar presented the vote of thanks on behalf of school administration.
