“Singhvi would not have got the bail had the government referred the mining scam case to the CBI. Congress had demanded that the case should be transferred to the CBI,” Gehlot said in a statement.
The two-time chief minister said that the government had put up a “weak” counter against Singhvi’s bail plea following which he got bail by the high court yesterday.
Singhvi, who was posted as the Principal Secretary (Mines), along with seven others was arrested in September last year in Rs 2.5 crore bribery scam.
