RAMBAN: In commemoration of International day for Biological Diversity 2022, a plantation drive was carried out in the college under the aegis of Principal, Dr Ranvijay Singh and by the collective effort of departments of Botany, Environmental Science and Zoology.
As many as 50 students participated in the plantation drive under the guidance of faculty of the college.
The students were engaged in outdoor as well as indoor plantation of saplings.
They planted the saplings of ornamental plants in clay pots provided by the college and placed the potted plants at various places in the campus.
Later on an interactive session was organised in which the faculty highlighted the significance of tree plantation especially in view of the global warming and climate change.
The students were enlightened about the threats to biodiversity and the conservation strategies to be adapted to save the planet earth.
