Samba: An online extension lecture was organized by Career, Placement and Psychological Counselling Cell of GDC Purmandal under the aegis of Manodarpan, an initiative of Govt of India.
The resource person for the online lecture was Prof. Shiv Mangal Singh, Assistant Prof. Dept. of Psychology, GDC Basohli. He elaborated upon the different nuances of well-being of students during this stressful pandemic.
The topic for the online interaction was “Mental Well-Being of students during COVID-19” wherein the resource person threw light on the various aspects of well-being and how to get rid of the mental stress.
He further discussed how to relieve stress by doing various activities like helping others, showing empathy with others, indulging in meditation, physical activities and be very positive during the pandemic period.
It was a matter of pride for the Principal and staff of the GDC Purmandal because it was second extension lecture and first ever online extension lecture initiated by College.
The students were over enthusiastic and were present in small number since the college rigorously followed SOPs guidelines norms.
The coordinator of the cell Prof. Mohd Rafi made necessary arrangements for the event. Principal of the College, Prof. Seema Mir encouraged the staff members, teaching and non-teaching members for organizing such an event a short span of time.
