GOOL: Grooming youths of Govt. Degree College, Gool celebrated Annual Day function with pomp and show under the guidance of Principal of the College in the college premises at Gool. The function was started with revelation of ‘Naat’. The students presented various cultural programmes including songs, group songs, group dances, speeches and poems that enthralled the audience.
The first issue of the Newsletter of the College, ‘The Gull’ was also released on this occasion by the guests.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chander Shekhar, Principal of the College said that such functions not only provide some moments of enjoyment to the audience but also educate about rich cultural and heritage of area in particular and of the State in general. He also gave brief history of the college as well as detail of various activities organised in the college. He cingulated the students and staff of the college for achieving 100 per cent result in B.A.Part-III examination which is the first batch of the college.
The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Rezwan Wani and Mudassar Ahmed whereas vote of thanks was presented by Touseef Ahmad Zargar.
