JAMMU: Ranjit College of Education in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Gatka Association (JKGA) on Thursday organised a function in college campus to felicitate the medal winners of J and K Gatka team which participated in Second National Gatka Championship -2016 organised by Gatka Federation of India (GFI) at Guru Nanak Institute of Management, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi,
recently.
Seven players from J and K participated in this championship in under 19, 22 and 25 age and won seven bronze medals.
In under-19, Ranjit Singh, Jasmeet Singh and Mandeep Singh while in under-22, Lovepreet Singh, Gurvinder Singh and Rupinder Singh and in under-25, Yashpreet Singh won bronze medal.
Ravinder Singh accompanied the team as Manager.
Manmeet Singh Amn, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Gatka Association, congratulated and facilitated the medal winners and appreciated the efforts of President JKGA Ravinder Singh and his team. He further extended his thanks to H.S Bhullar President GFI and his team for organising successful championship.
Others present were Vice-chairman JKGA H.S Gill, President JKGA Ravinder Singh, Convenor Khalsa Aid Jammu and Kashmir Gagandeep Singh, college staff and students.
