MENDHAR: In spite of repeatedly highlighting the dilapidated condition of the main road of Mendhar town, a shower on Thursday spread garbage and muddy water in the whole market facing people through mud and splash.
The dirty water splashes on the pedestrians whenever a vehicle passes on the water logged road besides the water entered the shops on either sides and spoil the goods.
Shopkeeper Rajiv Sharma, Vinod Datta, Vishal Bhasin, Vikas Sahaney, Vinod Sahney, Amit Gupta, Mohit Kapoor strongly condemned the PWD and Rural Development Department for not carrying out repair to this road for the last more than eight months. The residents of the area and shopkeepers appealed to the District Development Commissioner Poonch to issue suitable directions to the concerned department to carry out immediate repairs to the road.
