SAMBA: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga on Friday conducted extensive tour of Border villages including Keso Manasa, Govindgarh, Nanga, Dag ,Nandpur and met various delegations there.
Minister assured the people that elaborate contingency measures have been taken by the government and also issued instructions to all revenue officers to closely monitor the situation and take immediate measures to ensure safety of the villagers close to Border.
Later, the minister inspected RDD works at Keso Manasa and sanctioned a community toilet complex at Govindgarh. At Nanga, he directed ACD to submit community work proposals under BADP. During his interaction with villagers, he focused on benefits of PMUY, rural electrification, Adhaar seeding and pro-poor schemes of the Govt. He also inaugurated 2.25 km road work from Nanga to Zero line being executed by PWD under BADP.
ADC Pawan Sharma, ACD Tilak Raj, SDM Vijaypur Ravinder Sharma, Addl SP Raja Adil Hamid, Tehsildar Rajpura Jai Kumar Sharma, Xen PWD and officers from various departments accompanied the minister.
