RAJOURI : According to the laid down programme, the Kalash Yatra was taken out on Friday from Mata Bharti Sanyas Ashram Rajouri on the first day of 10 days long Ganesh Utsava by hundreds of people amid reciting of Bhajans and Kirtan.
The Kalash Yatra was organised by Bhartiya Sanskrita Pravah Samiti which passed through Mohan Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Moti Bazar and Bus Stand due to which the whole atmosphere in the town had turned spiritual.
President of Samiti Rajesh Bunty said that Bhajan Sandhya in the evening will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 PM. He appealed to the people of the town to participate in the programme in large number and obtain blessings of Bhagwan Ganesha.
Prominent among those who participated in the Yatra include Sandeep Bali, Vinod Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Deepak Sudan, Amit Vaid.
UDHAMPUR: In order to celebrate Shree Ganesh Chathruthi local people organised an attractive Shoba Yatra on Friday at Udhampur.
A large number of devotees and public in general took out an attractive Shoba Yatra in Udhampur which commenced from Pandav Mandir after conducting a Puja. The Yatra passed through Hospital Road, Salltian Talab Chowk, Venus Chowk and culminated at Goverdhan Place in which devotees chanting Bhajans carried portraits of Shree Ganesha on the beat of drums and seen dancing.
In the Yatra beside many Saints and prominent citizens took part. The week-long puja will be conducted at Goverdhan Place week long Ganesh Puja shall be performed and on the final day Shree Ganesha idol shall be immerse in water in traditional manner.
