Gandhi King Literary Society established at KCIS

JAMMU: With a view to promote peace among its students, Gandhi King Literary Society was established at KC International School, Jammu on tuesday in coordination with the Gandhi Peace Foundation, Jammu Chapter. The installation ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries present on the occasion. Dr. Seema Rohmetra, Co-ordinator Gandhi Peace Foundation has been nominated as Chief Patron, Chaitanya Chowdhary (Vice Chairman) Patron, Brig. S. Sahney (Board of Governor) Convenor, Maya Mishra (Principal) Co-Convenor, Kesar Patel (Headmistress) Secretary and Priya Bhat Dhar, Priya Singh and Meenakshi Kumari.
Student Structure: Samarthya Singh Grade XII has been nominated as President Student Wing, Praguni Goel Grade XII Vice-President, Bhumik Dhar and Isobel Tabitha Secretaries.
Student Volunteers were Harshvardhan Singh Rana IV, Dhriti Gupta IV, Lakshita Chowdhary V, Saransh Ambardar IV, Suryansh Chowdhary V, Rudraksh Ganjoo IV,
Divam Upadhyay V, Divij Chouhan IV and Jasmine Chowdhary V.
The oath for the peace was delivered to the members of the society by the Principal of the School, Maya Mishra. Praguni Goel, Samarthya Singh, President a student of Grade XII spoke about the main purpose with which the society was established.
Vice President of the Society, a student of Grade XII announced the programmes which the society would conduct during the year to promote peace and harmony.
Maya Mishra stressed upon the importance of peace and harmony in our lives.
