JAMMU: In the much publicised Public Interest Litigation highlighting alleged hushing up of Rajouri Development Authority Scam wherein instead of registering an FIR despite the approval of the Director Vigilance, J&K Vigilance Organization the same was converted by SVO into Regular Department Action against the delinquent officers/ officials of Rajouri Development Authority namely Mohammad Javed Khan the then Chief Executive Officer, Rajouri Development Authority presently Custodian General, J&K Government, Khushal Chand the then Executive Engineer, Devi Dass Heer, Executive Engineer and Gurcharan Singh Junior Engineer, Rajouri Development Authority.
On Tuesday the instant PIL was listed before the Division Bench comprising First Puisne Judge Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B.S. Walia and when this matter was taken up for hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed with Advocate Suraj Singh drew the attention of the Division Bench to the last order passed by the Division Bench on May, 2, 2016 whereby the General Administration Department (GAD) had been directed to file the fresh status report indicating the appointment of new inquiry officer for initiating disciplinary proceedings against the then CEO Rajouri Development Authority Mohammad Javed Khan (IAS) and others.
Advocate Ahmed further submitted that despite the categoric directions of the Division Bench and the assurance of the Learned Advocate General the GAD has failed to file the status report which shows the callous approach of the General Administration Department towards the orders of the High Court. Division Bench comprising Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B.S. Walia after considering the submissions of Advocate S.S. Ahmed observed in the open court that matter requires consideration at length and due to paucity of time directed the Registry to list this PIL in the week commencing July, 4, 2016.
