SAMBA: District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda convened a meeting of officers of Education Department to review the overall functioning of various educational institutions in Samba District.
She said that clusters of higher secondary schools, high schools, middle and primary schools have been formed with the object of ensuring better monitoring of all schools to improve the overall education scenario in the district. She said that principals and headmasters have been entrusted with the duty of monitoring all schools in their respective clusters and prepare weekly reports as per format and a team of district officers shall also be constituted to monitor these clusters.
She emphasised that students should be encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities like painting, sports and debate competitions in the schools for their overall development. She stressed the need for improving the education standards with ensuring the accountability of teachers in every school to improve the results.
The meeting was attended by CPO Samba, CEO Samba and all ZEOs, principals and headmasters of the district.
