Friendly Cricket Match Media-XI wins cliff-hanger in last ball

JAMMU: In a nail-biting friendly cricket match played at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, Media-XI trounced Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club (SKCC) by six wickets by hitting a boundary in last ball of the match.
Earlier batting first after winning the toss, SKCC, led by Aman Cheema, set 173 runs target in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets.
Sumeet and Manmohan Khajuria of SKCC made highest 54 runs and 50 runs for the team. Yash Kahjuria of Media-XI took two wickets in his four overs’ spell. Ashu Mehra and Vivek Suri shared apiece each. Media-XI, led by skipper Mir Imran, chased the target by hitting a splendid four in last ball of the match. Ashwani hit highest 78 runs off 49 balls while, Amit Kumar hit second highest 34 off 19 balls and Vivek Suri 15 off 16 balls. For SKCC, Rakesh picked two wickets while Manmohan Khajuria took one. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLC-Firdous Tak was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who assured to provide all possible help, including sports kits, to the Media-XI team.
