JAMMU: A fresh batch of 194 pilgrims on Thursday left for the twin base camps of the Amarnath Cave Shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas amidst tight security.
The batch comprising 115 men, 27 women and 52 Sadhus left in seven vehicles from the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp in Jammu for Pahalgam and Baltal in Kashmir this morning, a police officer said.
On the 34th day of Yatra, 501 Yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave.
A total of 2,16,801 lakh pilgrims have so far paid obeisance at the Cave Shrine of Amarnath since the Yatra started on 1st July.
