UDHAMPUR: J and K Public Grievances Forum (JKPGF – NGO) launched free skill development programme in remote villages of Panchari Block in district Udhampur for unemployed youths especially women.
Speaking on the occasion Varun Sharma Project Co-coordinator of the forum said that the target of this skill development programme is to train 500 unemployed youths in Panchari Block in one year. He said that we will introduce this programme in remote villages of Panchari like Mongri, Dhubbi Gali, Landar Kotla etc. The main aim of the programme is to eradicate unemployment from District Udhampur.
JKPGF is already running NABARD sponsored SHG (Self Help Groups) project for the last six months and the target is to make more 100 SHGs which is approximately 1,000 women. The purpose of this NABARD sponsored project is to elevate the women from the level of extreme poverty. JKPGF is also conducting many awareness programmes in remote villages of Jammu and Kashmir like Save Girl Child, Save Environment, Save Water and many other health awareness programme.
Others who were present on the occasion were Smita Kapahi, Meenakshi, Shalini, Pinki Kumari, Puneet Sharma, Rajan Bagotra and Sanjay Kumar.
