BILLAWAR: Shanti Path Trust (SPT),Trikuta Nagar, Jammu in association with Director Health Services, Deptt of Ophthalmology Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC),Indira Gandhi Govt Dental College(IGGDC),Director Indian System of Medicines (ISM) and Shri Narsing Goshala,Mandli organised a free medical and dental camp at village Mandli, block Billawar ,Distt Kathua.
The team of specialists and staff included Drs Priyanka Sodani, Bharti Sarangal, Sazia, Satinder and Abhishek (Eye) from GMC ,Dr Rakesh Raina, Mohd Tabassum, Priya Thapa, Anna Thakur (Interns) and Hygienist Khalil Mirza from IGGDC, Drs Mohinder Lal (ENT), Poonam Padotra (Gynae) and Som Nath (Physcian) from CMO Kathua,Dr Neetu Handoo and Shiv Kumar (Phar) from Director ISM. Specialists during the camp attended to Gynaecology-42, Eye-152, Medical Specialist-121, Dental-77 (extractions-10 and 12 restorations), ENT- 39, ISM-147 , Physiotherapy and Acupressure -123 .
V.K Nanda, rendered his expert services in acupressure. Thirty six cases of cataract were identified for operations which are being organised on 9th Oct at GMC . Dr Dinesh Gupta and his team shall be conducting the operations. SPT in addition to facilitating various formalities at GMC, organises in hospital and post operative care like lenses, injections, dark glasses/medicines etc, for all eye patients.
In all 147 patients took advantage of ISM facility and this was managed very well by lone ISM expert Dr Neetu. Free medicines as per the prescription of doctors were provided to all the patients and this part was very well managed by Vinay Mahajan (Alopath) and Shiv Kumar (ISM).
