Four nabbed with heroin, Charas

R S PURA/BHADARWAH: Police on Wednesday arrested four drug peddlers and recovered 46 grams of heroin, 400 grams Charas from their possession.

According to a report, during Naka checking at Kulian (PS Miran Sahib), ASI Yougal Sharma IC Kulian Post under supervision of Insp Ajit Singh SHO Police Station Miran Sahib signalled a Car (JK02P/7980) to stop but driver instead of stopping tried to jump the Naka. Alert cops managed to stop the car and all three persons sitting in the car were thoroughly frisked. During checking about 46 gms of heroin (Chitta) like substance was recovered from their possession.

The trio identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Amarnath resident of Maralian; Rattan Lal alias Piddu son of Tunda Ram resident of Agra Chak and Rajesh Gupta son of Yashpal Gupta resient of Ward no- 1, R S Pura were arrested and case vide FIR No 169/2017 under section 8/21/22/29NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Miran Sahib.

Operation was  conducted under the close supervision of Surinder Choudhary SDPO R S Pura, Romesh Kotwal SP HQ Jammu and under overall supervision of SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.

Meanwhile, a party led by Incharge Police Post Bhalla SI Sunil Parihar under the supervision of ASP Bhadarwah Rajinder Singh, SDPO Bhadarwah Brijesh Sharma and SHO Bhadarwah Munir Khan laid a special Naka at Gadsoo area near Petrol Pump, 5 Km from Pul Doda.  During Naka, Police stopped a person moving in suspicious circumstances and during his checking police recovered 400 grams of Charas from his possession. The accused has been identified as Balwan Singh Son of Omdesh resident of Chinote Bhlara,  Chiralla.  A case vide FIR No 149/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Police Station Bhadarwah.
