Four killed, one injured in Mughal Road mishap

POONCH: Four passengers were killed while one received critical injuries in a road accident on Tuesday on Mughal Road in Poonch District.
“Four people were killed on the spot and one was critically injured at Shikargah on the Mughal Road on Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle belonging to Aircel Cellular Phone Company fell into a deep gorge,” a senior police official said.
According to police, the driver was reversing the vehicle when it went out of control and rolled down into several hundred feet deep gorge.
The dead have been identified as Taufeeq Ahmad, son of Gh Ahmad, resident of Draba ( driver), Tufail Ahmad, resident of Bakori, Rajouri, Pervez Ahmad, son of Nazir Ahmad, resident of Chachua, Sangaldan, Ramban and Mohd Arshad, son of Mohammad Sharif, resident of Mahore.
“The injured Maqsud Ahmad, resident of Sangaldan Ramban has been shifted to hospital where attending doctors have described his condition as critical,” the police said.
