AKHNOOR: Four gangsters were arrested by Akhnoor Police who harassed the people on Jammu – Poonch National Highway and finally attacked a couple at Rah-siote near Sunderbani late in the night on Tuesday when they were travelling from Jammu to their residence at Sunderbani along with their newly born girl child.
The four goons travelling in a car (Alto) overtook the car of this family and stopped in front of their car so as to block their road.
They attacked the family, took out Goutam Saraf and his wife Komal, abused them and thrashed them. They also damaged the car and broke its front glass and took away the golden chain.
Goutam Saraf informed the Akhnoor Police on whose direction the Incharge Police Post Chowki Chowra Kuldeep Kumar reached the spot and arrested all the four youths namely Sahil Singh Jamwal, son of Balbir Singh, resident of Ban Talab Jammu, Atil Dev Singh, son of Bashashar Singh, resident of Rai Suchani district Samba, Shan Kapoor, son of Ashok Kapoor, resident of Roop Nagar Jammu and Rahul Sharma, son of Mohinder Lal, resident of Rah Siote Sunderbani.
During interaction Goutam informed STATE TIMES that such people have made the National Highway unsafe for travelling with family and children.
The police has registered a case vide FIR No. 5/2016 under Sections 342, 323, 504, 506, 147 and 427 RPC for investigation.
