JAMMU: Police on Monday arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 5,300 from the spot as stake money.
According to a report, SHO Police Station Channi Himmat inspector Aejaz Wani along with a police team under the supervision of SDPO East Rafiq Manhas and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand conducted the raid and arrested four gamblers identified as Rohit Singh son of Dian Singh resident of Channi, Rafaqat Hussain son of Barkat resident of Channi Rama, Sahil son of Rajinder Kumar resident of Channi and Shakeel Mohd son of Abdul Majid resident of Channi Rama. Playing cards along with stake money amounting Rs 5,300 was also recovered from the spot. All the four gamblers were arrested under the relevant section of Gambling Act.
