UDHAMPUR: In its drive to make Patnitop – Kud area polythene free zone, the Udhampur Forest Division in collaboration with Pollution Control Board launched massive search operation against use of polythene bags in the area.
During the two day drive, about 84 kg polythene bags were seized and Rs. 3900 fine was realized from the defaulters of several business establishments in the area.
The operation was conducted by Divisional Forest Officer Udhampur Jugal Kishore Gupta, Range Officer Dudu Mohammad Rafiq, Inspector PCB Narayan Singh and field functionaries of Udhampur Forest Division.
