Forest Deptt reclaims encroached land

REASI: As part of anti encroachment drive launched by the Forest Division Reasi, Forest Department led by ACF M.S Jamwal removed illegal structure raised by local person and evacuated forest land.According to reports, team of Reasi Forest Division evicted forest land from encroachers by dismantling two Kachha shops at Lamsora-1 Tehsil Bomagh District Reasi. Team of Reasi Forest Division led by ACF Reasi M. S Jamwal, Range Officer Reasi Aman Thappa, Forester Prabh Dayal evicted encroachments on forest land by dismantling Kachha shops in compartment 19a/R illegally constructed by one Karnail Singh son of Krishan Singh resident of Lamsora-1 Tehsil Bomagh District Reasi. The eviction process was successfully executed in presence of Executive Magistrate Ist Class appointed for the purpose with the assistance of police and FPF personals. The encroacher was evicted after following prescribed procedure as laid down in Section 48-A of J and K Forest Act. The material used for raising of structure viz. CGI sheets stood seized under Section 26 of J&K Forest Act and the offender is being proceeded against under Section 6(f) of J&K Forest Act. The whole eviction operation was conducted under the supervision of DFO Reasi Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh, IFS and closely monitored by CF West Sameer Bharti Gupta.
