JAMMU: Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India has released INSPIRE Awards 2023 notification on its official website under Inspire Awards – MANAK Scheme.
INSPIRE Awards – MANAK is looking for Science and Technology based ideas and innovations from millions of school students who are studying from class 6th to 10th across the country
MANAK means Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge is an initiative to foster a culture of innovation and creative thinking amongst students to address societal needs through Science and Technology.
For participating in the INSPIRE awards, Science and technology exhibition on Science and Technology ideas was organised at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi. Jakiians participated with enthusiasm.
Jakiians exhibited different projects like Anti sleep censor, gadgets for rainwater harvesting, Pollution control ideas, ldeas to reduce the disruptive impact of Natural disaster, Solar cell, Solar panel, pass code based locking system in Gas stove.
Few projects were based on digital technology-related ideas that could contribute the digital economy.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah explained that technology plays a critical role in modern society. Everyone is touched by the power of technology in one way or the other way. She also talked about some famous Indian scientists and their discoveries. Jakiians highlighted that technology connects us, Technology inspires us, Technology amplifies our power.
She added ,”The Government of India is marching ahead to promote Science and technology in the country, to build a nurtured ecosystem by way of promoting research and developing a robust system.”
The Principal selected and nominated the best five projects of Jakiians and uploaded their ideas on the official website of INSPIRE.
