Dear Editor,
On paper, the BJP appears a well-knit and organised party, thanks to organisational support extended to it by right-wing organisations. The SP, BSP and the Congress, on the other hand, have a dynastic tag wherein the writ of a high command prevails sans any logic. The stupendous success of the BJP in 2014 generated great hope but it appears to be dwindling due to a number of reasons. The earlier round of regional elections show that regional parties can establish themselves based on their performance. If not, people move towards the BJP. The BJP may be investing most of its resources in its desperate bid to win Uttar Pradesh, but this is a State where the result this time is likely to be a fragmented one.
