JAMMU: Continuing his efforts to develop Government High School, Pull Tawi which he had adopted, State Vice President BJP Yudhvir Sethi on Friday donated fifty desks to the institution and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dreams are being realised wherein special focus is being laid on education of girl students and schemes like Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana are empowering women to become self-reliant.
Earlier, the school students were provided uniforms, classrooms were whitewashed, swings installed for children, water cooler donated and cleanliness drive launched in the institution to make it a model school.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that a clean and green school with all necessary infrastructures will boost the confidence of students and help them gain self respect. With that aim, this institution is being nurtured.
Asking students to work hard, Sethi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to create an army of skilled workforce which will cater to world. His projects like Make in India, e-Governance, self attestation and Shramev Jayate are all aimed at making our country strong. India, according to him must be a key player in providing skilled workforce to the world.
Earlier the school students presented cultural programme including skits, dance items and other items. The school girls also tied Rakhis on the hands of visiting dignitaries. The Rakhis were beautifully crafted by the children themselves using colourful threads and art paper besides beads. Head of the institution presented details about various achievements and activities of the school.
