JAMMU: India on Wednesday raised issue of detection of tunnel on International Border at the flag meeting held at Octroi Post in Ranbir Singh Pura Sector here.
“On the request of BSF, a CO BSF and Wing Commander Pak Rangers level flag meeting was held at International Border near Octroi BoP,” official spokesman here said.
He said that the meeting was attended by eight officers led by P K Anand, Commandant, SHQ Jammu from BSF side while from Pak Rangers side the meeting was attended by five Rangers including 12 Wing Commanders led by Lt Col Irfan Khan.
During the meeting, various issues including recent detection of tunnel and firing in Ramgarh Sector as well as return of Constable Sohan Lal of J&K Police, who crossed to Pakistan inadvertently in 2014 and other routine issues related to management of border were discussed, said the spokesman.
He said that the meeting was held in cordial atmosphere with handing over of sweets.
