KATHUA: Police on Saturday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing five bovines from the clutches of smuggler.
According to a report, a party of Police Station Rajbagh , laid a Naka at Rajbagh and intercepted one truck bearing registration No. JK08C/4833 driven by Moaz Din son of Gaya Din resident of Beri Khad Basohli which was on way from J and K to Punjab.
On noticing the Naka party driver of the vehicle managed to escape leaving behind the vehicle. During checking of the vehicle police rescued five bovines. Police has launched a man hunt to nab the accused and registered a case under FIR No. 188/2014 section 188 RPC, 3PC Act at Police Station Rajbagh.
