First Executive Committee Meeting of JSSC held at JKPS Kunjwani

JAMMU: The President of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex (JSSC), Jammu chapter Rajesh Rathore convened the very first Executive Committee meeting of JSSC at JK Public School, Kunjwani, Jammu, which was attended by KL Dogra, Principal, MV International School Samba, as Secretary (Finance) JSSC; Ranju Malhotra, Principal, DBN Vidya Mandir, Amarvilla Jammu, as Secretary (Media & Information) JSSC& Randeep Wazir, Principal IDPS Jammu, as Joint Secretary JSSC.
President JSSC extended a very warm welcome to the newly elected Executive Committee, JSSC on the campus of JKPS Kunjwani. He discussed about the role and responsibilities of the Executive Committee members, reposed in them by the Jammu Sahodaya member schools. He invoked them to keep exploring all the possibilities to equip, energize and empower the students & staff of JSSC member schools. The Executive Committee expressed its firm belief in elevating the standard of education in all the JSSC schools and re-affirmed its commitment towards the students, teachers & parents.
The members of the Executive Committee discussed at length the best practices being followed in various schools across the globe. The idea behind this activity was to bring some choicest global best practices to the door steps of JSSC member schools. Some shortlisted best practices will be shared in the next General Body Meeting (GBM) of JSSC proposed in the month of July, 2022.
Next point on the agenda was the designing of Annual Activity Calendar of JSSC for the session 2022-23, comprising literary activities, visual art & performing art activities, Quiz, Exhibition, sports activities and training programme for the teachers & Principals.
The Executive Committee members also deliberated on the latest CBSE circulars from the CBSE. The members also touched tangentially on the NEP 2020 recommendations to be implemented in the schools in this session.
A detailed discussion on the inclusion of Club activities in Jammu Sahodaya member schools proved quite fruitful and it got tabled as one of the Agenda points for the next GBM.
Another important agenda point was “linking of routine education to career options from Middle school onwards, wherein students will be imparted basic exposure and training pertaining to variety career options, like, NDA, CIVIL SERVICES, CAT, CLAT, JEE MAINS, NEET etc. It was also discussed at length and found space on the agenda items for the next GBM.
The Executive Committee members also discussed on the idea of creating a fixture, wherein each orator Principal will visit atleast two JSSC member schools and deliver a Pep talk to the teachers/students of Sr. Secondary classes.
The EC members also discussed about the modification in the SOP content regarding the eligibility criteria for the election as well as the election procedure for the constitution of Executive Committee ahead by holding a debate and approval from the JSSC members.
The EC members also explored the idea of conducting a Plantation drive in every Jammu Sahodaya member school during the upcoming monsoon season. Schools with maximum number of sapling plantation will be awarded with Appreciation Certificates.
Last but not the least, the EC members also decided to issue Commendation Certificates to 5 teachers from each Sahodaya member school, which shall be given away by the Principal of every school on the Teachers’ day.
Thus the meeting reached its conclusion with a vote of thanks from Ms. Ranju Malhotra, Secretary (Media & Information). She appreciated all the attendees for sparing their valuable time and making the deliberations extremely fulfilling and rewarding.
