First aid training programme for teachers concludes

JAMMU: Four-day first aid training programme organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, for the teachers of Banyan International School, Jammu, concluded here at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni, Jammu.
The programme was organised on the directions of Dr. Pawan Kotwal, IAS, Chairman of IRCS, Jammu Region (Divisional Commissioner) Jammu and under the aegis of St John Ambulance (India) Regional Centre, Jammu.
The training was imparted with the sole motto to train the common masses in order to save the precious lives during untoward accidents. The training was imparted by the senior consultants on the subject namely Dr. Rajinder Thappa, CMO, GMCH, Jammu, Dr. M.L Sharma, DMO (Retd), R. Vijay Magotra, social activist and Dr. Simriti, Medical Officer of Red Cross Dispensary whereas the test of the candidates was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Officer of Red Cross Dispensary assisted by Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist.
Among others who were present on the occasion of concluding Day of First Aid Training Programme Dinesh Gupta, Sharma, Member, Executive Committee, IRCS, Jammu Region.
The training programme was conducted under the supervision of R.C Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region, Jammu.
