NEW DELHI: The Minister of State for Science Technology and Information Technology Feroz Ahmad Khan called on the Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad here on Wednesday and strongly pleaded for boosting the Science and Information Technology sector in the State.
The Union Minister assured Khan that centre will provide all assistance to the State Government for upgrading the standard of Information Technology and Science and Technology in the State.
Meanwhile, Khan also attended the ‘Digital India’ Conference organised by the Union Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Electronics Department in which the Information Technology Ministers of the States and Union Territories (UT) were invited.
In a bid to give flip to the e-governance initiatives, the Conference provided much needed thrust to Broadband Highway (BH), Universal Access to Mobile Connectivity (UAMC), Public Internet Access Programme (PIAP), e-governance, Reforming Government through Technology, e-Kranti, Electronic Delivery of Services, Information for All, Electronics Manufacturing, Information Technology for jobs and early harvest programmes.
